…when you were a kid and your mom made you write thank you cards? Maybe your didn’t but mine did and it was always a painful process. I’m sure she thought so too as I resisted and she persevered. Now I’m so grateful she did! Its a wonderful way to wrap up the flurry of the holidays and recognize the people who traveled or gifted or both.
So, how do you get through the thank you’s? If you only have a few (under 5), stop reading and get to it. Just get it done right now. Old fashioned pen to paper, stamp, and send.
If you have more, don’t keep putting it off because it feels overwhelming. Get out a stack of cards or paper and just commit to a couple each morning or night or even during your lunch break at work. Send them off as you finish or wait and send a satisfying stack. But doing it in little increments like this can really help you (or your kids!) actually do what you know your mom would be proud of. 🙂
